Monarch Butterflies migrate 3,000 miles every year between the northernmost parts of North America down to central Mexico.
Did you know that Riverbanks Zoo is home to a Monarch WayStation? A quick pit stop along this arduous journey where they can refuel and rest.
Riverbanks AAZK, with help from the Riverbanks horticulture team, are in charge of planting and maintaining this pollinator garden in front of Riverbanks Zoo.
